The Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation, together with Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation and Belleville General Hospital Foundation are going On Air For Health Care Thursday, August 30, 2012 live from the Bay of Quinte Golf Club.
Listen in to any radio station in the Quinte region between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., yes - this includes 955 HITS FM, Cool 100, Mix 97, Rock 107, CJBQ, MyFM Brighton, 91x Loyalist and UCB. On Air, you will hear stories from patients and their families who have received exceptional care at our Hospitals while everyone pulls out all the stops to raise funds to support medical equipment needs at Belleville, Picton and Trenton Hospitals through pledges from people like you.
Listeners will hear first hand how donations to our Hospitals are having an impact on the health and well being of patients who come through our doors each year. As part of the radiothon, the Foundations are seeking anyone who has been touched by the care they have received at our Hospitals to share their story on air with us.
You can support the radiothon On Air For Health Care by visiting any Arby's store in Trenton and Belleville where they will be donating $1.00 from roast beef sandwiches sold on August 30. McDonald's in Picton will be donating $1.00 from every Big Mac sold on the 30th. The Salon will be at Belleville General Hospital on Wednesday, August 29 putting blue highlights in staff members hair between 11 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. for $10.00 with proceeds benefiting QHC. On site at the Bay of Quinte Golf and Country Club, a putting competition will be happening, there will be a dunk tank on site, the Wellington Dukes and Trenton Golden Hawks will also be appearing on air between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. The first 50 callers pledging $100.00 or more on August 30 will receive a complimentary green fee at the Bay of Quinte Golf and Country Club. As well, Smylie's Independent Grocery Burger Mobile will be on site between 11:00 and 2:00 p.m. providing lunch with all proceeds benefiting Quinte Health Care.
